See the difference

Scale doesn’t just look ugly. It blocks flow.

One descale cycle. The same coffee machine, kettle, or showerhead. Drag the handle left and right to see what hard water buildup looks like - before, and after.

Inside the formula

Every ingredient earns its place.

Start with the job the formula does for the appliance. Then go deeper ingredient by ingredient if you want the science.

Dissolves scale

Triple acid system

Layered acids go after fresh residue and older mineral buildup instead of only cleaning the top layer.

Stops redepositing

Chelant support

Chelants keep dissolved minerals suspended so they rinse away instead of settling back on the appliance.

Protects internals

BTA metal-support system

Metal-support additives help the formula target scale without being harsh on the appliance internals.

01
Primary acid

Citric Acid

Dissolves the bulk of calcium carbonate scale. The same acid in lemons, but anhydrous and food-grade.

73.5% in formula
02
Cold-soluble

Malic Acid

Penetrates the mid-layer of scale. Kicks in faster than citric in cold water - fixes the dose-in-cold-water problem.

9.0% in formula
03
Deep penetrator

Tartaric Acid

Reaches into old, dense scale layers that single-acid descalers can't touch. Found naturally in grapes.

8.0% in formula
04
Primary chelant

Sodium Gluconate

Holds dissolved minerals (Ca, Mg, Fe) in solution so they wash out instead of redepositing on the metal.

8.35% in formula
05
Iron chelant

Disodium EDTA

Specifically targets iron deposits (Fe2+/Fe3+) that citric acid alone cannot remove. Critical for borewell water.

06
Metal protector

BTA

Forms a protective layer on copper, brass, and aluminium during descaling. Acid attacks the scale, not the metal.

How to use

One sachet. One cycle. No measuring drama.

Dose, frequency, and warnings change based on what you’re descaling. No guesswork.

Coffee / Espresso

  1. 1Empty machine. Remove pods, grounds, or filters.
  2. 2Dissolve 1 sachet in the full water reservoir.
  3. 3Run the descale cycle, or one full brew cycle. Discard solution.
  4. 4Run 2-3 plain water cycles before brewing again.
Warning: If 600+ TDS or skipped descaling for 6+ months, use 2 sachets on the first cycle.

Background

Why hard water destroys appliances.

Tap to expand. The science, plain.

Indian water often runs at 400-700+ TDS. Each brew cycle leaves behind dissolved calcium and magnesium that crystallise into limescale on the heating element, boiler, and brew head. Within 6 months you lose temperature consistency, flow rate drops 30-40%, and the pump strains harder. Espresso shot times stretch from 25 seconds to 40+. Most people blame the machine. The water did it.
Hard-water scale inside coffee and dishwasher routes is rarely a fresh surface film. It builds in layers across repeated heat cycles. DescaleX is designed for that repeat-maintenance job: dissolve the scale, carry it out cleanly, and keep the formula appropriate for the appliance internals.
One 25g sachet handles a standard descale on a coffee machine or showerhead at 200-600 TDS when the appliance has been maintained within the last 3 months. Use 2 sachets if any of these apply: TDS over 600, no descaling in 6+ months, dishwasher cycle, heavy visible scale, or a borewell water source. Doubling on the first cycle saves you running it twice.
DescaleX is built around appliance routes that need a clean rinse and a controlled descale cycle. The priority is not the harshest possible acid hit - it is getting the scale out without turning routine maintenance into a compatibility gamble.
Safe: stainless steel, copper, brass (BTA protected), glass, ceramic, silicone seals up to 2 hours, food-contact surfaces after full rinse, appliance-grade plastics. Caution: aluminium (short contact only), old or cracked rubber seals. Do not use on: natural stone (marble, granite), chrome fittings, shower glass, or tiles - use Fighter or TapStrike instead. Not for washing machines (use WashDX). Not for kettles or baby items - use DescaleX Bio for those.

Hard water? Check first.

Built for Indian hard water, not soft-water manuals.

Indian water hardness varies wildly between cities, even neighbourhoods. We tell you exactly how often to descale based on your TDS.

Below 200
Soft. Descale every 4-6 months.
200 - 400
Moderate. Descale every 2-3 months.
400 - 600
Hard. Descale every 6-8 weeks.
600+
Very hard. Every 4-6 weeks. Double dose first time.

Honest answers

Questions before you buy.

No. The BTA in the formula forms a protective layer on brass and aluminium internals while the acid dissolves scale. As long as you follow the rinse instructions (2-3 plain water cycles after descaling), it's safer than vinegar and most generic descalers.
Citric-only powders can work for light, recent buildup. DescaleX is the more complete route for repeat machine maintenance because it is built for layered scale, rinse flow, and appliance internals rather than just a basic acid soak.
Use DescaleX Bio. It is the food-grade kettle-side formula for drinking-water appliances like kettles, tea makers, and baby bottle warmers. Regular DescaleX is for coffee machines, dishwashers, and showerheads.
One 25g sachet handles a standard coffee machine or showerhead descale. Use 2 sachets if you have a dishwasher, 6+ months of accumulated scale, or TDS over 600.
Yes. Cash on delivery is available across India through our delivery partner. You can also pay online via UPI, cards, or net banking.
One descale cycle. After running the descale and rinse cycles, you should immediately notice faster heating, better flow, and clearer water. If your machine had heavy buildup, run a second cycle.

Ready when you are.

One clear final decision point, with the pack you picked.
