Dum Dum water, like most of West Bengal, is sourced from borewells and groundwater aquifers. As water travels through rock and soil, it dissolves calcium and magnesium carbonates — the minerals responsible for hard water. The result: 305 ppm TDS, classified as High hardness.
High TDS means scale bonds chemically to glass within days. Regular cleaning products fail because they cannot break calcium-carbonate bonds — only acid chemistry can.
